Dr. Angie Alaouie
Licensed Massage Therapist | Licensed Acupuncturist
Doctor of Acupuncture
With over eight years of experience in hands-on clinical care, Angie Alaouie is a licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist based in New York City. She holds a Master’s and Doctorate in Acupuncture from Virginia University of Integrative Medicine and completed her massage therapy training at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences.
Angie’s clinical approach bridges East Asian medicine with modern biomedical perspectives to create integrative, individualized treatment plans. During her doctoral studies, she focused on reproductive health, trauma-informed care, and pain management—areas that continue to inform and shape her work in practice.
Before becoming an acupuncturist, Angie spent several years working as a massage therapist with a strong emphasis on medical massage and prenatal care. This foundation gives her a highly tactile, assessment-based approach and a deep understanding of how skilled touch and acupuncture can work together to support healing.
Her clinical focus includes pain management, women’s health, stress-related conditions, and support for overall physiological balance and function. Angie works with patients navigating both acute and chronic concerns, always prioritizing thorough intake, attentive listening, and personalized care.
Angie believes that healing is not one-size-fits-all. Every session begins with careful assessment and is tailored to each individual’s unique history, presentation, and goals. Her style is grounded, compassionate, and collaborative, creating a calm and supportive environment where patients feel heard, safe, and empowered in their care.
She works with individuals seeking support for a wide range of concerns, including:
Acute and chronic pain
Stress-related conditions and nervous system dysregulation
Women’s health and reproductive care
Prenatal and postpartum support
Injury recovery and overuse conditions
Ongoing wellness and preventative care
